Langtang Region Trekking

Our Langtang treks wind through the most beautiful aspects of Nepals midlands - the Langtang Valley at 1470m, Kyanjin Gompa at 3780m and the high mountain lake of Gosainkunda at 4380m with distant, lofty peaks reaching into the heavens, such as the glaciers of Langtang Lirung at 7246m, giving us some of the best views of the Himalaya. The region boasts of easy access, breathtaking scenery and, best of all, no crowds! Accommodation is an easy find with opportunities to stay with local families for a more cultural experience, in guest houses for an easy and comfortable respite or at more luxurious hotels with all the amenities one could desire.

Journeying through lush fields, great forests, rapid rivers and majestic valleys, Langtang offers us a chance to enter the heart of this land and find the rhythm of our body and our breath without the pressure of performance. We will pass through sparsely populated, underdeveloped villages but mostly we will be alone with nature to really discover ourselves and our surroundings without the distraction and overwhelming speed of modern life.

The remote upper region of Langtang lies on the border with Tibet. Known as the Valley of the Glaciers, the mountain culture of this serene pastureland is very much influenced by Tibetan Buddhist traditions. For those seeking insight into these traditions there is an air of openness and willingness to share amongst the local people; with every question you are sure to find an answer.

Langtang treks begin in Syabrubesi and their end points vary depending on time, difficulty, and what sights we travel to. There are plenty of options for extension into other treks if one chooses to deviate from our suggested itineraries, like Langtang circuit to Helambu, crossing the 5106m Ganja La pass truly with our guides the possibilities are limitless.
